'MareNostrum' is the eighth most powerful supercomputer in Europe, (the most powerful supercomputer in Spain), according to the LINPACK benchmark used by TOP500. Hosted in Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The Center is placed in a former chapel named Torre Girona, at the Technical University of Catalonia. It was presented by IBM and María Jesús San Segundo, the Spanish Minister of Education and Science.
