AAnswer:NIKHIL..god level answer. The answer is in fact Solan, the little hill station in Himachal. Its the ancestral home to Salman Rushdie. The movie Kya Kehna is also based in Solan. And like the said the Kalka Simla Toy train was just given as a hint to put you on the right track(solan is one of the major station in between)

thts the shimla-kalka toy train..preity zinta was born in shimla nd salman rushdie has some ancestral home at solan which he visited sometime recently and is on the route connected by the tht train...no idea
